Psychiatric nursing is very important in the prevention and treatment of mental diseases. It is well known that mental illness is the result of the interaction between genes and environmental factors. Although genetic factors are still can not be controlled, it is suggested that the changes of environmental factors may aid in the prevention of mental illness. Compared to other medical disciplines, mental illness is more subtle, and nurses need to understand the patient's heart. In the psychiatric treatment, the drug is only to suppress symptoms, but can not eliminate symptoms, it tolds us that psychiatric nursing is essential to cure patients. At the same time, psychiatric caring requires nurses to identify and pay attention to abnormal mental activities, relieve the pain of patients, and help them recover their social functions. On this basis, "psychiatric nursing" is set up in the next semester of nursing undergraduate students in order to expand the knowledge of students, increase students' interests and cultivate innovative consciousness. Furthermore, it also helps the students to understand the legal and ethical issues, master the basic knowledge of mental illness and the basic skills of caring patients.
