英文简介：The Basics of E-C Translation is a foundational course on translation competence development for students taking (medical) English/translation programs, aiming to cultivate their basic translation ability and translation thinking between English and Chinese. Through a comparison of the two languages of interest, this course aims to help the students master the basic skills of English and Chinese translation of words, syntax and text, understand the basic principles of translation, and render faithfully, smoothly and flexibly various texts of moderate difficulty. It lays a solid foundation for subsequent courses such as The Basics of C-E Translation, Fundamentals of Medical Translation and Fundamentals of TCM Translation.
