一、课程简介

中文简介：《口腔科学》是医学中的主干学科之一，主要研究口腔及颌面部疾病的病因机制、诊断分析及其预防和治疗。本课程的教学是在掌握一般基础医学和临床医学课程的基础上进行，是五年制医学本科学生必修的一门重要临床课程，为培养综合性人才服务。通过本课程讲课、示教，临床见习、电化教学、自主学习、讨论、辅导和考试等多个教学环节，使学生了解并初步掌握口腔及颌面部常见病、多发病的病因机制、检查诊断、治疗原则、治疗方法以及预防，使学生获得口腔颌面部常见疾病和颌面部损伤的基本知识和简易处理技能，树立口腔局部与人体系统有机统一的整体观。

英文简介：Stomatology is one of the main disciplines in medicine, which mainly studying the etiology, diagnostic analysis, prevention, and treatment of oral and maxillofacial diseases. This course is a compulsory course in the Five-year System medical undergraduate students, bases on mastering the fundamentals of general medicine and clinical medicine. Through multiple teaching procedures such as lectures, demonstrations, clinical internships, audio-visual teaching, self-study, discussion, tutoring, and exams in this course, students will understand and preliminary grasp the etiology, diagnosis, treatment principles, treatment methods, and prevention of common oral and maxillofacial diseases. This will enable students to acquire basic knowledge and simple operant skills of common oral diseases and maxillofacial injuries, and establish a holistic view of the organic unity of local and systemic oral diseases.
