- Facing the challenges in university teaching quality assurance—"detached systems, broken closed loops for continuous improvement, and vague quality culture"—Southern Medical University has leveraged digital and intelligent empowerment to innovatively practice the "dual-core and four-orientation" construction philosophy. With "talent cultivation" and "teaching resources" as its dual cores, the university has refined the decomposition of teaching elements, implemented targeted interventions for teaching pain points, advanced digital construction in a regular manner, and driven the closed-loop governance in an ecological way. After 30 years of independent iteration, it has built a "full-domain, full-participant, real-time closed-loop big data teaching evaluation system".This system covers every course, every teaching session, and every teacher and student. It collects over 300,000 course evaluation records and nearly 5 million real-time classroom data entries annually, enabling digital quality control across the entire spectrum of teaching scenarios—including courses, classrooms, assessments, and internships. Through daily automatic reminders via WeChat, the system is integrated into the entire teaching process, encouraging full participation of both teachers and students. It has established a complete closed loop of "evaluation-feedback-improvement-incentive," truly integrating quality standards into routine teaching.The digital quality assurance system has significantly enhanced teaching effectiveness. Students can check their personal learning progress and compare it with their classmates in real time, and receive personalized feedback. The internship process is decomposed into more than 1,000 indicators across 4 categories, supporting self-reporting and process traceability. Over 85% of students rely on the system for in-depth learning, which has effectively improved their abilities in independent inquiry and clinical practice. Each year, teachers receive over 300,000 course evaluation records and nearly 5 million real-time classroom feedback entries; the system automatically generates precise quality reports, supports teaching improvement and anonymous interaction, and promotes the transformation of teaching from experience-driven to data-driven.Currently, this system has been adopted by more than 100 universities, including Peking University and Sichuan University, and has become a benchmark for digital and intelligent teaching.
